In the next it’s AI, productivity and growth. It feels like one of the most dangerous periods of our lifetimes, and also one of the most transformative. One point kept coming up. The AI race that matters most is diffusion. Getting the technology into everyday use, quickly and widely. You don’t need to invent the breakthrough to benefit most from it. That was the focus of my conversation with Satya Nadella. It also came through clearly in panel discussions with Brad Smith, @ianbremmer, @aranchaglezlaya and @strivemasiyiwa. Diffusion isn’t glamorous. It’s electricity, data centres, connectivity and language. It’s skills. It’s trust. It’s people being able to feel the benefits in health, education and public services, rather than just hearing about the risks.".
